“Being a disciple means being constantly ready to bring the love of Jesus to others, and this can happen unexpectedly and in any place: on the street, in a city square, during work, on a journey.”
Pope Francis
Evangelii Gaudium, 127

"With a tenderness which never disappoints, but is always capable of restoring our joy, He makes it possible for us to lift up our heads and to start anew." -Pope Francis

With Pope Francis, Cardinal Wuerl and the whole Church of Washington, the community of Our Lady Queen of the Americas welcomes you to come and share our life with Christ!

Have you been away from the Church? New to the area? Think you’ve received some of the sacraments as a child, but not even sure? Spiritual, but now interested in exploring an experience that’s more concrete?

Come and let us share your life and introduce you to the One who sustains our happiness, joy and communion.

Welcome, and please do come and see!

Padre Alejandro Diaz, Pastor

 To building occupants and visitors:

We are making improvements to the interior of our building. This project will include the construction of a new elevator and a bathroom for elderly and people with disability. Within the next few days, signs will be placed in the corridor near the cafeteria in the basement and the work requires that we close the entrance from the parking lot.

Please use alternative entries during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience during construction of this important project. We will continue making every effort to limit construction to the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. However, it may be necessary at times of unforeseen conditions for crews to continue project activities within the utility right-of-way beyond that time.

In addition to our efforts to minimize the impacts to visitors and businesses during construction, here are some simple tips that may help you reduce construction disturbance:

 Close all windows and doors facing the construction area in order to reduce noise and dust.

 Visit http://www.ourladyqueenoftheamericasdc.org/ for information updates to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about construction. For more information, please contact Mrs. Damaris Rivas at 202-332-8838 Ext. 213.

Thank you in advance for your understanding during our construction. You will appreciate the improvements when completed.

Rev. Alejandro Díaz
